Job Description for Heavy Equipment Operator:

Searching for a skilled and cautious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our warehouse or logistics team. The individual we seek will operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and transport materials effectively and safely.

Responsibilities for Heavy Equipment Operator:

• Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles to move materials around the warehouse or storage yard
• Load and unload goods from trucks and other vehicles
• Stack and organize products in the correct storage locations
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any mechanical issues
• Ensure loads are secure and comply with safety standards
• Keep accurate records of inventory and shipments
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed (picking, packing, etc.)
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures

Requirements for Heavy Equipment Operator:

• Having a high school diploma or its equal is advantageous for this position
• Possessing a current forklift certification and experience operating sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts
• Demonstrating strong physical abilities and capable of managing loads of up to 50 pounds
• Core mathematical operations and inventory handling aptitude
• Thorough attention to detail and a stringent emphasis on safety awareness
• Ability to excel in solitary tasks and cooperate effectively with others
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including nights and weekends as required

Work Environment for Heavy Equipment Operator:

Usually working in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, or outdoor loading sites, forklift operators may be exposed to varying temperatures and long periods of standing or machinery operation.
