Forklift Driver

Job Description for Forklift Driver:

The position available is for a proficient and cautious Forklift Driver to join our warehouse or logistics department. The preferred candidate will have the duty of utilizing forklifts and other warehouse tools to effectively and reliably load, unload, and convey materials while upholding safety protocols.

Responsibilities for Forklift Driver:

• Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles to move materials around the warehouse or storage yard
• Load and unload goods from trucks and other vehicles
• Stack and organize products in the correct storage locations
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any mechanical issues
• Ensure loads are secure and comply with safety standards
• Keep accurate records of inventory and shipments
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed (picking, packing, etc.)
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures

Requirements for Forklift Driver:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is recommended
• Possessing a legitimate certification for operating forklifts and having hands-on experience with sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts
• Being in strong physical shape and able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Elementary mathematics and stock control abilities
• Intense focus on the particulars and a profound commitment to safety precautions
• Capability to operate autonomously or within a group dynamic
• Readiness to accommodate flexible hours, such as nights and weekends when needed

Work Environment for Forklift Driver:

In warehouses, manufacturing sites, distribution centers, or outdoor loading spaces, you will often encounter forklift operators. Their duties might require them to be exposed to different temperatures and spend prolonged amounts of time on their feet or operating machinery.
